Meet Mr Lumpy

Painting of Mr Lumpy, a badger

When Christine moved into a house with a nearby family of badgers, she found that they took a liking to her.
Especially when she left them food!

Over time she was able to document the family as they came to visit her garden in the evenings, and even turned her garden into a little wildlife sanctuary for the local urban wildlife to visit.

Mr Lumpy has since passed away, but other badgers now frequent her sanctuary, and she raises money for badger conservation.

Their story touched me, and I decided to try and capture Mr Lumpy’s spirit in a painting, which I’ve donated to Christine and her charity.
